The main distinguishing feature is especially the long hair on the heels, paws, belly, buttocks and ears. This very hair has a tendency to become tangled in tangles, if not carefully monitored. It is important to remove them with a special tool. In the case that it is too late and they need to be cut, do not try to do it yourself. Often they are close to the skin and you risk injuring the animal. Here are a few breeds for better understanding: Pomeranian Spitz, Shih Tzu, Golden Retriever, Husky (Alaskan and Siberian), Akita Inu.

A tip that also applies to dogs with short and double coats: in connection with shedding or the desire to "save from the heat" owners of these breeds may shave their pets, which should not be done categorically. Machine shaving poses a great risk of heat stroke.
